Randy Blythe is free.
Czech news agency Blesk.cz has reported that after spending 5 weeks in a Czech prison, the Lamb Of God frontman has been found not guilty of manslaughter.
Having been accused of alleged involvement in the death of 19 year old metal fan Daniel Nosek following a stage invasion during a Lamb Of God concert in Prague during in 2010, Blythe was today acquitted and took to his Instagram account to release a picture of himself together with the following caption:
“I have been found not guilty & acquitted of all charges against me. I am a free man. This photo was taken by my friend @aceyslade – it says it all.”
He later added: “Please remember the family of Daniel Nosek in your thoughts & prayers in this difficult time. I only wish for them peace. Thank you for your support – Randy.”
BBC News reported that the presiding judge in the trial ruled Blythe’s actions had not constituted a crime and that the prosecution have subsequently lodged an appeal over today’s verdict.
