Motley Crue were forced to cut short their show in Sydney, Australia tonight (10th), after vocalist Vince Neil was forced to leave the stage, and was subsequently rushed to hospital.
The incident happened during Tommy Lee’s drum solo, after which bassist Nikki Sixx informed the crowd that they would not continue, and that Neil had been in pain since the start.
Both Sixx and guitarist Mick Mars took to Twitter after the show’s end to explain the incident further.
Sixx stated: “Sorry Sydney for a short set tonight but Vince had to be rushed to the hospital for internal pain. Will update you on his progress.”
Whilst Mars tweeted later: “Sydney, my apologies for a short set this evening. Vince had an attack of kidney stones. He went straight from the stage to the hospital.”
The band have been touring Australia with Kiss, and although it was initially unclear if the remaining shows would go ahead as planned, Vince took to Twitter this morning (11th) to explain: “Doc says I should have a full recovery and be back onstage for the Brisbane show tomorrow. Thanks to my bandmates and crew for your support!”
