Black Sabbath have posted a short video on YouTube of them in the studio at work on their forthcoming album.
Entitled ’13′, the album is due for release this June (2013), and will be the band’s first studio LP with vocalist Ozzy Osbourne in 35 years. The singer states in the short trailer: “Black Sabbath don’t write songs you hear on the radio, we write musical pieces.”
The video features Osbourne, guitarist Tony Iommi and bassist Geezer Butler at work with legendary rock producer Rick Rubin. Having not managed to reach an agreement with original drummer Bill Ward, Rage Against The Machine’s Brad Wilk is seen taking up duties behind the drum kit.
Plans for a world tour during 2012 had to be shelved after guitarist Iommi was diagnosed with cancer. The band are expected to announce live dates for later this year around the album’s release.
